Even my husband who normally despises shredded chicken loved it. It has amazing flavor without it being spicy. I served mine on a salad and my husbands in soft tacos. In the future I’ll make it in bulk and keep portions in the freezer for a quick meal.

I’m making this today. Would a mango salsa complement the tinga? If not, what do you recommend?

Thanks!

I don’t sauté onion and garlic because some family members don’t like onion. I add garlic cloves straight to the blender with the rest of the ingredients. Don’t skip adding the honey, it adds great flavor. I love this recipe and have made it twice in a week already!

I finally tried it today and searched for tinga recipes. This one came up and looked easy so I went for it and glad I did. It turned out delicious! Was well written out with steps, ingredients and quick video. Thank you! I will be keeping this for my recipes as a staple.

I’ve also used shredded pork in place of the chicken. I put the meat in corn tortillas topped with the pickled onions, sliced jalapenos, cilantro, queso fresco and squeeze of lime juice. EXCELLENT! Thank you for my go to tinga sauce recipe. I’ll never get store bought again!
