Although I add some red pepper flakes in the marinade. To preserve mine, I vacuum seal it with a dessicant. People love it and want to buy it from me.

I have used the recipe many times. The only thing I do different is when I’m about 3/4 thru the cooking time, I brush on some of marinade. It makes it a little spicier.

Oven on lowest setting ( probably 170 f ) the secret it prop the door open slightly with something like a wooden spoon. The moisture evaporates out of the oven. No need for foil as there is no mess, no dripping. If it is dripping you are cooking the meat which is what you do NOT want to do.

I did reduce the liquid smoke and Worcestershire]]> Came out tasty but mine cooked in less than 4 hours and is overdone. Tasty but quite dehydrated. I sliced 1/8 thick but after marinating it was like super thin stringy pieces. Not like the picture of yours. I’m wondering why 🤷🏼‍♀️ next time I’ll try cutting more like 1/4 inch. I did reduce the liquid smoke and Worcestershire

Another sheet pan in the oven right now to share with friends for Super Bowl Sunday !!
