Loved that I could scaffold this for my child who is still learning to like salad and loves potstickers, and please the parents who like a little more than potstickers. This meal will definitely make the dinner rotation.

It goes together quickly, the flavors are wonderful and it’s a beautiful plated salad. I just made a couple of changes, no ripe avocado so substituted with shelled edamame, scallions on the diagonal instead of the red onion and a sprinkle of chopped salted peanuts instead of almond and only because that’s what I had on hand. Thank you for another family favorite.

I second the comment about doubling the dressing!

A few substitutions/tweaks: no avocado, sunflower kernels instead of sliced almonds, green onions instead of cilantro, fresh ginger instead of ground ginger for the sauce (1:1 ratio), added 1/2 package (per serving) of cooked but chilled ramen noodles to make it more of a pasta salad and overall it was delicious!

A few tweaks: NO avocado. Sliced red radishes were a perfect substitute. Doubled the dressing. Swapped equal amount of fresh ginger (always in the freezer) for the ground.
Mixed my own furikake. Fun way to serve dumplings.

In the pic of the ingredients, it looks like fresh ginger is on the plate with the garlic clove. Is that an option for the dressing, instead of the ground ginger? If so, how much would I add?

Yes, it’s warm-ish with the dumplings! When served immediately, it didn’t wilt the cole slaw for us much at all. But you’re more than welcome to chill the dumplings and toss everything cold if you prefer. Enjoy! :)

The instructions say to serve immediately, so would this be a warm salad? Does the cabbage hold up or wilt with the warmth from the pot stickers? I’m intrigued!
