I made this today and used the instant release. What a mess! Applesauce spewing everywhere ~ I will try again and leave it for a few minutes to release naturally before hitting the button and seeing what happens then. It smells terrific!

Followed the directions and it turned out perfect! I was concerned on the pumpkin pie spice as typically I use cinnamon but it was spot on delicious and actually was a refreshing blend with the lemon juice. I left the skins on and used an immersion blender….it was fast and will be my recipe for canning applesauce whe. i get a large quantity of apples. Thank you for the recipe!

I made this today. When I used quick release, applesauce came spewing out of the hole for steam.
